Hi there! I am Beck O’Farrell and I’m a degree qualified Nutritionist (BHSc Nutritional Medicine). I am also a wife and mother of 3 little people and we live in the gorgeous Macedon Ranges Victoria, about an hour north west of Melbourne. I’m incredibly passionate about GUT health, whole foods cooking and getting back to basics in the kitchen and in our lives.
Happiness for me is found in sharing good food, good friends and good times.
I’m an advocate for the SLOW and JERF philosophies and really believe that the kitchen should be the functional heart of the home and our health, and the health of our families.
Getting back into the kitchen, returning to more traditional methods of cooking and preparing whole foods the way our grannies did is what I believe to be the corner stone to good health. It is incredibly important that our kids understand how to recognise and prepare food- so teaching our kids to cook, understand food, where it comes from and how it can nourish and heal us is invaluable.
Food is so much more than fuel or calories. By preparing it with love and care, we can nourish, heal, and provide comfort and connection with those we love.
